We are admittedly not fans of campsites situated in the middle of towns and unfortunately Brandberg Restcamp is one of these. Located in the small and uninspiring town of Uis, not too far from the Brandberg (Burnt Mountain), Brandberg Restcamp offers a suburban base for exploring the area and a convenient stopover if you happen to be passing by. Brandberg Restcamp provides campsites, en-suite rooms and self catering chalets and also has an on-site restaurant and bar.
Of the two campsites in the town, we prefer this one. It feels a little more considered and spacious. However, it still doesn’t quite match up to Brandberg White Lady Lodge, which is situated right next to the Nature Reserve and alongside the Ugab River, which is frequented by the famous desert-adapted elephants.
