The Kromrivier Cederberg Park campsiteis admittedly not our favourite in the Cederberg, but it still provides a great weekend and holiday escape in an area that has so much to offer. From an accommodation perspective, basic chalets are available as well as powered and non-powered campsites along the Kromrivier.

Admittedly, when we visited the river was suffering from summer dehydration and wasn’t flowing. This kind of compromised the mountain campsite experience we were hoping for. Fear not, there is plenty to do nearby. Kromrivier Cederberg Park is in reasonable close proximity to the highlights of the Cederberg Wilderness Area (Stadsaal Caves, Wolberg Cracks, Wolfberg Arch), which are certainly worth a visit. Also, it’s the base for a great walk to the pleasant Disa Pool along a very comfortable path for those with an aversion to too much effort.
