While The Point Caravan Park doesn’t epitomise the most considered, attractive or inspiring campsite we’ve ever experienced, we do acknowledge that you come here for its prime location next to the sea at the point in Mossel Bay.
The campsite itself is large and very open, which means that when the the grounds are packed in season, you won’t get much privacy. In addition, not all the campsites have shade, so the sooner you book or get there, the more likely you’ll be to get a prime beachfront plot under a tree. In general, we don’t think that much attention has been paid to the layout or design of the campsite in terms of privacy and aesthetics, but if you can look past this and the imposing boundary fences, then you really can’t deny that The Point Caravan Park sits in a prime location next to a beautiful beach, with a tidal pool on its doorstep and in close proximity to prime restaurants and coffee shops.
We warned though, this is an enormously popular camping destination that is seldom quiet.
